Yo Developers and graphic wizards! It’s amazing to have you here.Today, I will be sharing the most efficient way to collaborate with your design team. Before I kickstart, If you haven’t read my previous post on Getting started with figma tool for Project mockups, I recommend you spare about 4 mins of your time to read through. This article will provide you with a background knowledge of how Figma works.

If you already have a prior knowledge of Figma, then journey with me as I take you through the nitty gritty of Figma collaboration tool.

On your mark…

Cool bananas!!!

Collaborations vary enormously depending on their goals, settings, teams and resources. Yet all collaborations are performed by humans, and the following six elements play an important role in all of them.

  • Motivation
  • Communication
  • Diversity
  • Sharing
  • Support
  • Problem solving

In a bid to find an interactive design tool that offers these six elements, I encountered Figma collaborative tool. At first I was skeptical about it, but I eventually discovered this is the tool have been looking for!!!

To have a successful collaboration, the aforementioned elements MUST be considered.

In this article, I am going to share the easiest way to collaborate with your design team using just ONE tool….Figma

Welcome back!!!

1. Create or sign In to your Figma account

2. On your Dashboard click on New Team

3. Create a Team Name/ Integrate Figma with your existing Slack team

4. Choose your team plan

5. Create a new project

6. Invite new team member

7. Start Collaboration!!!

Yes!!! It’s as simple as this, no complexity!

It’s time to say goodbye to junky methods, enough of asking designers for image/mockup files every time there is a fix.

You can achieve more excellent results in less time with a design tool that gives you all the power to make these a reality…

Much thanks to Tejumola David a Graphic wizard and Figma Advocate for collaborating with me on this article.
